Conor McGregor.
I write to you to offer some sincere advice about the choices you have made and the behaviour you have displayed over the years. From your vile attacks on Khabib Nurmagomedov and his family to the recent revelations in the sexual assault case, it is clear that you are a product of a liberal culture that glorifies indulgence and lacks any real moral foundation. While some might have excused your insults as hype-building for fights, it is now painfully evident that your actions reflect the deeper consequences of embracing liberal values that prioritise self-gratification at any cost.
Your attacks on Khabib were disgraceful. You mocked his father, Abdulmanap, as a “quivering coward,” insulted his Islamic belief by calling him “backwards,” and sneered at his discipline and abstinence from alcohol, saying, “What a weirdo!” You dehumanised his culture, calling Dagestanis “sheep” and baselessly accusing his team of terrorism. These words were not just offensive—they showed a fundamental lack of respect for Islamic values.
The irony is striking. You mocked Khabib’s Islamic values—the very values that teach men to control their desires, honour their families, and treat others with dignity. In contrast, you have built your image on a lifestyle of excess, indulging in alcohol, hedonism, and hyper-masculinity. This has reduced you to a caricature of a man, driven by ego and lust, with no regard for the consequences of your actions. Your treatment of women is a glaring example of this. Time and again, your behaviour has shown that you see women as little more than objects for your gratification—whether through public comments or, as alleged in this recent case, violating their dignity in the most horrific way.
This stands in stark contrast to the teachings of Islam, which you once mocked. Islam regards women as embodiments of honour and dignity. They are not to be objectified or used but respected, protected, and cherished. A man is judged by how he upholds this principle, and Khabib has demonstrated this in his conduct. While you boast about your conquests and indulgences, he has shown the strength of a man who values self-restraint, humility, and the sacred bonds of family and community.
What has your path brought you? A reputation stained by scandals, legal troubles, and a growing perception of you as a narcissistic bully. The liberal culture you have embraced—one that celebrates indulgence and debauchery—has stripped you of the very qualities that define a real man. In contrast, the Islamic values you ridiculed have made Khabib a figure of integrity, honour, and respect.
As Khabib once said, “When you have money in your hand and nothing in your heart, there is no honour.” If you seek true strength and redemption, look to these values—values that build men of honour, not monsters of indulgence.
It is not too late for you to change. Redemption lies in rejecting this shallow culture of self-indulgence and embracing a way of life that fosters accountability, dignity, and true strength. Islam offers a path to transform your character and reclaim your humanity. It teaches men to discipline their desires, to protect the honour of women, and to live with purpose and humility. I invite you to seriously embark on a journey to discover the Islamic belief.
Let me remind you of one of the greatest athletes of all time, Muhammad Ali. He, too, once lived in a culture that encouraged excess, but he found truth, strength, and dignity in Islam. His faith transformed him into not only a champion in the ring but a man of integrity and purpose outside of it. He stood for justice, humility, and respect, inspiring millions around the world. He embraced the discipline and values of Islam, and it made him a real man—a legacy unmatched to this day.
I hope you embark on a journey of profound self-reflection—to look beyond the mirror you gaze into each night and see past the image of a man weighed down by his troubles. Look deeper, beyond the surface, and uncover the potential of the true man within you—the one who is capable of honour, strength, and redemption.
