The Aftermath of Nasrallah’s Death: A Call for Unity and Action Among Muslims

The death of Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah’s leader, following Israeli airstrikes in Beirut, serves as a stark reminder of the brutality Israel continues to unleash upon the region, with the full backing of the United States. Israel’s actions are not isolated incidents but part of a broader agenda, sanctioned by American political, financial, and military support, which has effectively given Israel a licence to kill, destroy, and displace entire populations with impunity. This devastation is unfolding not just in Lebanon and Gaza but also in Yemen, where Israeli airstrikes targeted Houthi positions. The escalating violence, now extending to multiple fronts, underscores the urgency for the Muslim world to wake up and unite against these aggressions.

Israel’s airstrikes on Yemen’s port of Hodeida were a direct response to Houthi missile attacks, adding yet another country to the list of killing grounds for Israel. The expansion of Israeli attacks into Yemen, Lebanon, and Gaza signifies that this is not merely about Gaza, but a regional and global confrontation. As we witness this broadening assault, it becomes clear that the Muslim world must now reflect on the real aggressors and avoid falling into traps of division and inaction.

Mute Response: Iran and Hezbollah’s Inactivity

Since 7 October, the Muslim world has watched as Israel ravaged Gaza, displacing families, destroying homes, and claiming countless lives. Yet, despite having the capability to significantly shift the balance of power, Iran and Hezbollah have largely remained on the side-lines. The RAND Corporation has conducted studies on Hezbollah’s military capabilities and strategic impact in the Middle East, focusing on its missile strength and asymmetric warfare strategies. However, they have chosen to remain passive. This inactivity has raised serious questions about the true intentions and strategy of resistance groups in the region. Where was this resistance when the Palestinian people needed it most? If they had intervened, they could have disrupted the U.S.-Israeli military machine, but instead, the opportunity faced a muted response.

Nasrallah’s Death: Avoiding Sectarianism

Hassan Nasrallah’s death must not be allowed to fuel sectarian division between Sunni and Shia Muslims. Israel and its allies thrive on our disunity. Every time we let sectarian lines divide us, we weaken our collective strength against the real oppressors. The true aggressor in this situation is not fellow Muslims but Israel, with the U.S. standing firmly behind them. This is a moment for solidarity, not division. The struggle is not between Sunni and Shia; it is a struggle against occupation, oppression, and American hegemony in our region. Only through unity can we hope to counteract the powers that seek to destabilise and dominate us.

Failed Leadership: Time to Close the Chapter on False Hopes

The tragic realities unfolding in Lebanon, Gaza, and Yemen are proof of a hard truth that can no longer be ignored: those who placed their trust in the current Muslim rulers have been betrayed. Over the past 11 months of Israeli bombardment and occupation in Gaza, many of these leaders remained silent. Their inaction, their deafening silence in the face of atrocities, proves that they will not defend the ummah. It’s time to close the chapter on the false hopes that was once placed in these rulers. The responsibility for our liberation does not lie with those who remain complicit in oppression but with those among us who are willing to take a stand. This is a moment of clarity—a moment where Allah is separating those committed to justice from those who will forever remain passive and guilty of oppression.

Israel’s Actions Are Not Independent: The Role of the U.S.

Israel’s aggression must not be viewed in isolation. The atrocities committed by Israel are not merely the actions of a rogue state; they are deeply intertwined with the policies and strategies of the U.S. government. Without American military aid, financial support, and political backing, Israel would not be able to carry out its campaign of destruction. The airstrikes, the displacement of civilians, and the relentless occupation are all part of a larger U.S.-endorsed strategy to maintain control over the Middle East. The U.S. is not a neutral observer; it is a key player in this conflict, providing Israel with the resources and protection it needs to continue its violence.

Yet, there is a silver lining to this grim reality. More and more, the world is waking up to the truth about Israel. Millions of non-Muslims who were once misled by the lies of Western elites and media are beginning to see through the propaganda. Israel is no longer as secure or untouchable as it once believed. Its actions have tarnished its global image, and the myth of its invincibility is unravelling. As Muslims and non-Muslims alike witness the horrors inflicted upon the Palestinian, Lebanese, and Yemeni people, Israel’s security in the region is more fragile than ever.

A Call for Regime Change: Restoring the Dignity of the Ummah

The time has come for the Muslim world to take decisive political action. The ummah has the resources, the intellect, the courage, and the great men and women needed to restore its former greatness. However, for all of this potential to be realised, we must demand that our military forces represent our interests and defend our honour. The real issue has never been a lack of capability within the ummah. The true obstacle has always been the Western colonial powers that have imposed puppet rulers upon us, along with their perverted culture, their dictators, their bullets, and their bombs. The challenges that face the Muslim world are not natural; they are artificial constructs placed in our path by those who seek to keep us divided and weak.

Once these obstacles are removed, the ummah will naturally unite, becoming an unstoppable force. We are capable of resuming the 1300-year history of greatness that defined the Islamic world. But everything hinges on political action. We must rise up with determination to dismantle the pillars of oppression that the West has planted in our lands. Until we regain true political independence in the form of the caliphate, we will never be able to control our own destiny. Without sovereignty, we cannot govern our economy, our military, or our institutions, and we will continue to be at the mercy of foreign powers. The ummah’s dignity, honour, and future depend on our ability to reclaim political sovereignty.

The challenges before us—whether in Gaza, Lebanon, or Yemen—are immense, but they are not insurmountable. Through unity, decisive action, and a refusal to be divided, we can rise above the oppression that has long been imposed upon us. The future of the Muslim world lies in our hands. Let us rise to reclaim it.
